摘要

The design of a public transport network defined as route and frequency, becomes an important element of public transport planning since it determines the quality offered. A case study will be peformed making use of the data from Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The optimization model called OVLOV will be used to analyze what the best routes and frequencies will be, given the number of buses operated everyday. The model maximizes trips subject to the maximum fleet size. At the first stage, using a multiproportional Poisson Estimation method, a calibration procedure will be carried out to estimate the demand characteristics: polarities and deterrence function. The OVLOV model will select lines and frequencies based on the relation between the direct trips and the service quality. However the maximum number of direct trips is not necessarily an optimum for all passengers. Therefore, further analysis is required to evaluate the selected network from several aspects, such as the number of total trips, or the average route length.
