The report examines the potential of United States exports for an air cargo handling modernization project in India. Since the project being proposed is not highly capital intensive, the direct payback in terms of U.S. goods and services could be considered marginal. In addition to the eventual use of U.S. consultants performing the study and possibly providing management consulting assistance, there is a portion of the project which offers payback potential. This is the possible automation of the process and computerization work that may result from the study. In terms of expertise, the U.S. clearly has a leading edge in air cargo handling and computerization technology.
