Federal Coastal Wetland Mapping Programs: A Report by the National OceanPollution Policy Board's Habitat Loss and Modification Working Group

The manuscripts contained in the report describe what the Federal government isdoing to map the Nation's coastal wetlands. Various aspects of a series of Federally funded programs are described, including the purpose and intent of the programs, technologies used, the type of data and other mapping products generated, and how the information is used. The report summarizes the major programs and present the Habitat Loss and Modification Working Group's conclusions and recommendations for actions that could be taken to improve the effectiveness of Federal activities.
