Descriptions of and Supplemental Information on Board and Care Homes Included inthe Update of the National Health Provider Inventory

The report provides accompanying documentation for an update of the NationalHealth Provider Inventory. The first section of the report consists of state by state descriptions of the board and care facilities included in the update. The second section details supplemental issues of the board and care industry in each state, such as (1) upcoming legislation or changes in regulation, (2) descriptions of semiindependent living programs which were not included in the database, (3) facilities that were not licensed by the state, but were certified, approved, or monitored, and (4) an estimate of unlicensed facilities in the state, if that information was available. The final section includes an overview matrix of the licensing agencies, licensure categories, and types of board and care facilities in every state.
