BEEF is intended to be a primitive but very high level programming and modelingtool, based on the idea that many AI problems require a simple tool and not a full-fledged hybrid development tool. BEEF can be used for basic object-oriented programming. BEEF can also be used for complex knowledge representation tasks, and it contains features that cannot be found in any basic object-oriented extensions of Common Lisp. BEEF was designed to be simple and small yet powerful and efficient. The manual documents the current implementation of BEEF.
