Archaeological Survey of the Proposed Expansion and Improvement of a Boat LaunchSite on Lake Emily, Dodge County, Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources contracted for an archeologicalsurvey of proposed improvements to the Lake Emily boat launch site in Dodge County, Wisconsin. In the course of the survey, the project area was subjected to a pedestrian survey and the excavation of a series of shovel probes. Three shovel test units were excavated in the least disturbed portions of the study area. Most of the project area may be described as highly disturbed. No archaeological materials were encountered and no evidence for some mounds reported in the general area.
