Mathematical Model of Contracting Muscle with Deformable Elements

In the frame of the sliding filament theory, a mathematical model related to themuscle contraction will be proposed. This model takes into account the deformability of the constituting elements of the muscle. An existence theorem in 'small' for the solution is proved in a simplified situation. A numerical scheme, related to the model, is also proposed and the related graphical results are described.
