MSW Curriculum Specialization for Aging and Hearing Loss

摘要

The goal of the curriculum concentration is to train graduate level socialworkers with the knowledge and skills necessary to work effectively with aging persons who have hearing loss. This project developed four courses, field internship sites, a student assessment procedure, and a database of agencies and programs for aging persons with hearing loss. These objectives were to comprise in part the Concentration on Aging and Hearing Loss within Gallaudet University's new master's degree in social work program which opened to its first group of students in the fall of 1989.
