NARCEA's Suggested State Guidelines for Gathering and Reporting Domestic ElderAbuse Statistics for Compiling National Data

In this report, the National Aging Resource Center on Elder Abuse (NARCEA)presents its suggested state 'guidelines' for gathering and reporting domestic elder abuse statistics for the purpose of compiling national data. It is believed that adherence to these guidelines will ensure 'greater comparability' among state-level data, thus enhancing the credibility of aggregate statistics at the national level. NARCEA's guidelines are primarily targeted at the state agencies that routinely collect and analyze data on domestic elder abuse.
