The study provides a description of the methods of coverage and an overview ofthe diversity of insurance coverage of the U.S. population. It highlights the factors associated with working and being uninsured. For insured workers, it shows the existing cost burdens for employees and employers, and compares the effects of an expanded employer-provided health insurance system to current policies.
