Agricultural Trade Liberalization: Implications for Developing Countries

摘要

The book provides analytically based insights into the possible effects of agricultural trade liberalization on developing countries and thus gives impetus to the agricultural negotiations in the Uruguay Round. It offers perspectives and estimates on the price, trade, production and consumption implications of agricultural trade liberalization for and within developing countries resulting from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)-country and global liberalization. Itaims to extend he understanding of both developing- and OECD-country participants in the Uruguay Round negotiations on the potential benefits and costs of agricultural liberalization and to stimulate more research into this important topic.
