The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has adopted Recreation 2000: A Strategic Plan to provide national policy guidance and identify the major challenges facing the nation's public land recreation program. Utah BLM has produced its own tailor-made blueprint for the future: Recreation 2000: a Revitalized Approach. Volume 1, divided into four parts, summarizes the purpose of Utah's plan; current sociological, demographic, and economic trends; program issues and challenges in recreation management, and Utah's plans to meet expanding recreation demands.
