The directive summarizes five recommendations for improving Superfund effortstowards timely release of information to the public during site cleanup activities. It provides guidance for the Regions to make documents available to the public throughout the cleanup process and to discuss site findings and decisions as they are developed for the sake of more fully involving citizens in the cleanup process and ensuring two way communication between Superfund staff and local communities.
