The report describes a special test-rig developed in order to obtain the ascending as well as the descending part of uniaxial stress-strain curves. Test results is reported from test series where the complete stress-strain curve is determined for concrete with compressive strength in the range from 40 MPa to 92 MPa. The test results show that the ascending part of the uniaxial stress-strain curves are more linear and steepefor high strength concrete when compared to normal strength concrete andthat the descending branch becomes steeper the higher the strength level. The inclination of the ascending part of the obtained uniaxial stress-strain curves for high strength concrete is steeper and the strain at peak stress is less when compared to results from USA and Norway. The declination of the descending part seems less when compared to the results from Norway and only slightly steeper when compared to results from USA.
