摘要

The thesis deals with a study on the influence of transport on the physiology and ecology of yeasts. The work has concentrated on two forms of transport encountered in yeasts, namely proton-glucose symport and glucose uniport. Furthermore, special attention has been paid to the control of metabolic fluxes under various growth conditions in relation to sugar transport. For this purpose, continuous cultures were used. Only this method of cultivation allows a quantitative description of the kinetics of transport in relation to the kinetics of growth.
