Forest Resource Value and Benefit Measurement: Some Cross-Cultural Perspectives

Different decisions need different kinds of information. Qualitative analysisidentifies the type of environmental change caused by a decision. Quantitative analysis defines parameters of change and measures of magnitude. The paper identifies and discusses these concepts and presents a model that identifies various components of the problem and demonstrates the definitions and measurements needed for different purposes.
