Development of Implantable Cardiac Biventricular Assist and Replacement Devices,September 1991

摘要

Two completely implantable total artificial heart systems with transcutaneousenergy transmission systems were implanted in Holstein calves. Improvements have been made in bearing mounting and roller screw positioning. Improved conformal coatings have been applied to the motor and electronics. A compliance chamber has been manufactured utilizing a saran polyurethane lamination. In vitro and in vivo testing of the compliance are planned for the next quarter.
