Incorporation of Occupational Safety and Health into Unit Operations LaboratoryCourses. NIOSH Instructional Module

摘要

The primary objective of the instructional module is the development of anawareness in the faculty and students of the many facets of occupational safety and health (OS&H) as applied to laboratory work and pilot-plant operations. The students should become convinced, through exposure to OS&H principles in the course, that safety and health must be part of everything they do in the laboratory environment. The secondary objective of the instructional module is to ensure a safe laboratory environment for the conduct of routine chemical analyses and operation of bench or pilot-scale unit operations equipment.
