Environmental Engineering and Hazard Mitigation Research in Poland. A Report of a Visit to Poland on September 13-28, 1991.

A report of a visit to Poland in September 1991 and meetings with 39 Polish researchers, academic and research administrators is presented. It includes: an assessment of engineering research infrastructure in Poland; a description of environmental hazards: air pollution, surface water pollution, groundwater pollution, and floods; a survey of research in environmental engineering, hazard mitigation technologies and related sciences; and a listing of 49 topics suggested by Polish principal investigators for possible cooperative research between the United States and Poland.
