Modern Methods for the Design and Control of Inland Waterways

摘要

The paper is devoted to modern methods of inland waterway management in theNetherlands. The rapid development of mathematical models, physiological simulation technoiques, modern measuring and operation systems, data processing systems and telematics over the last fifteen years, brought about a radical change in inland waterway management. The paper will show the new methods and possibilities and will illustrate them using some interesting applications.
