摘要

Manufacturers continue to resist the costs of distribution and the redesign of automobile engines and fuel systems to accomodate methanol fuel. Federal, state, or local intervention through mandates may, however, change the situation. Domestic methanol production will remain stagnant because of import pressures, until domestic natural gas prices equal world natural gas prices.
