Improving Federal Statistics on Families: Assessing Family Strengths in National Sample Surveys.

The document is a combination of three final reports that discuss characteristics of healthy, well-functioning families, or 'family strengths'. Each report looks at the family strengths from a different national survey: the National Survey of Children, the National Survey of Families and Households, and the General Social Survey. Lastly, is a compilation of survey questions that measure family strengths. This comprehensive group of questions was compiled in order to provide options for a new survey module of family strengths.
