Working Group Report on High Blood Pressure in Pregnancy

摘要

The purpose of the report is to provide guidance to the practicing physician in(1) managing hypertension patients who become pregnant (hypertension that is present and observable prior to pregnancy or diagnosed before the 20th week of gestation) and (2) managing pregnant patients who become hypertensive (the pregnant-specific condition termed preeclampsia). Chapters included cover the classification of hypertensive disorders or pregnancy, blood pressure in normal pregnancy and the epidemiology of hypertensive disorders, the pathalogy and pathophysiology of hypertension in pregnancy focusing on preeclampsia, differential diagnosis of hypertension in pregnancy, management of hypertension in pregnancy, and remote prognosis. It also includes an appendix, references, and a list of tables.
