The following tests were made: (a) Free to trim - Data obtained for curves of resistance, trim, and change of draft, vs speed. (b) Fixed trim - Data obtained for curves of resistance, pitching moments, and change of draft, vs speed. The model was tested free to trim with each bottom, and then at fixed trim with the bottom that showed the best spray control. (Author)
