摘要

Engine thrust and fuel consumption were determined for a wide range of simulated flight conditions and tail-pipe fuel flows. For standard TG-180 engine, the thrust was increased 109% by tail-pipe burning when investigated under conditions corresponding to Mach 1.18 at simulated altitude of 30,000 feet. Specific fuel consumption increased 67% above specific fuel consumption for standard engine without tail-pipe burning. General trends of experimental values agreed with values calculated from theoretical equations.
