Study of Infra-red Radiant Heating Plant in Relation to Drying, Particularly for Explosives and Propellants

During the last 10 years a considerable development has occurred of the use of high temperature radiant energy in industrial plants for heating, drying etc. The radiation is supplied from incandescent lamps or direct fired gas panels. The work reported here was undertaken to assess the possible value of these new processes in explosive industry applications.
