摘要

This report contains an outline of ten methods of powder production used by the Germans. The methods were as follows: (1) Hametag for Pulverization; (2) Vogt for Pulverization; (3) Degussa Disk for Atomization; (4) Degussa Jet for Atomization; (5) Mannesman for Atomization; (6) Linz Mill Scale for Carbon Monoxide Reduction; (7) Essen Mill Scale for Hydrogen Reduction; (8) S.M.W. Chlorination for Acid Solution; (9) Electrolytic; (10) Carbonyl. Only the first five processes listed were ever brought into quantity production. As has been discussed, the technique must be varied somewhat for the different types of powder. Die filling capacities must be adjusted to compensate for the different apparent densities to compensate for the different apparent densities of the various types of powders. Sintering cycles and pressing pressures must be changed depending on the particular type of powder being used. On the basis of cost of production, the Degussa Jet and the Mannesman processes are much more satisfactory than any of the others.
