摘要

The suitability and incentives were examined for using 2-l/4Cr-lMo steel as a structural material for the entire pri¬mary and secondary sodium systems in a 100 0 MWe pool-type Liquid Metal Fast Breeder Reactor. The critical properties, advantages and disadvantages of 2-l/4Cr-lMo, and data needed for design were described for each major component in the reactor. The relative importance of alloy properties to the successful use of ferritics in LMFBR was identified. Licens¬ing issues, likely to surface if ferritic alloys were to be used tor critics 1 reactor components, were discussed.
