摘要

A number of approaches or techniques gaining recognition and acceptance are: some high-output fluorescent lighting fixtures, high pressure sodium lighting for indoor use, electronic ballasts, specially designed electromagnetic ballasts and compatible lamps, daylight control, task-ambient lighting, time-controlled switching, and manual three-position switching. The objective of this study is to determine the energy and cost benefits obtainable from the application of these specific energy conservation lighting techniques to selected Laboratory building areas, and to determine, on the basis of these benefits, what site-wide applications of these energy conservation lighting techniques would be cost effective.
