This report describes progress on shock-activated sintering of inorganic powders TiC, TiB sub 2 , AlN and Al sub 2 O sub 3 . This report describes progress in recovery fixture development, describes progress in numerical simulation of shock conditions imposed in our explosive shock modification experiments, describes characterization of shock-modified powders, and describes powder consolidation studies.
