A municipal solid waste (MSW) mass-burning facility proposed by the city of Huntsville, Alabama is addressed. Existing environmental settings and man-made features, sensitive and hazardous areas, and environmental and social impacts of the proposed facilities are presented. Also included is a permit workbook which summarizes the type of regulations that must be met, the types of permits required, and how to go about securing these various permits.
