Operating Experience with the Machines of the Schluchsee Underground Power Station

The following report deals mainly with operating experience resulting from the use of the hydraulic machines, disregarding normal start-up problems. The focus of attention highlights three main areas: efficiencies, rapidity of change in modes of operation, hydraulic short circuit and non-availabilities. General construction problems such as high loads and durability, are treated marginally. (ERA citation 10:006889)
