Production kinetics and lattice dimensions of the spinel mixed-crystal series ZnFe(x)Ti(2-x)04 and Fe(y)Ti(2-y)03 were studied. Seebeck coefficients and electrical resistances were used to find electronic charge carrier transport properties. Activation energies for the mixed crystal series Fe(y)Ti(2-y)03 were 0.20 smaller than or equal to q smaller than or equal to 0.40 eV at temperatures greater than 200 K, and 0.05 smaller than or equal to q smaller than or equal to 0.20 eV at temperatures smaller than 125 K in the region 0.95 smaller than or equal to y smaller than or equal to 1.05 with a maximum at y = 1.0. Activation energies for the mixed crystal system ZnFe(x)Ti(2-x)04 were not determined. The potential charge distribution in both mixed crystal systems was iron (II) next to titanium (IV).
