Versatility in electron beam welding: A rational approach

Electron beam welding techniques and applications are discussed. Beginning with an account of experiences in aluminum welding, an approach to and present status of electron beam welding versatility and the use of electron beam welding under space conditions are analyzed. Illustrations of equipment used in electron beam welding are presented. The effects of electron beam welding on the physical properties of various metals are examined.
