Transmission of focussed laserbeams through the atmosphere

In this report, the influences of turbulences in the atmosphere on the size of the spot of a focussed laserbeam are investigated. Results of measurements performed with a Helium-Neon laser under various atmospheric conditions are reported. The measured data are compared with those published in the literature.
