Grudlagen der Erzeugung und Unterdruckung von korrelierten Rundsichtradarstorungen mit digital on Filtern

This paper deals with the problem of cluttersuppression by means of digital filters of different type (recursive, nonrecursive, mixed), given the circumstances of a digital round looking radar system. Furthermore, generation of clutter signals (clutter simulation) is discussed. In the theoretical part of this paper recursive and nonrecursive filters are described by means of the statistical properties of ergodic processes. Optimal and suboptimal solutions are given. The statistical description of & mixed filter, consisting of a recursive and a nonrecursive portion that are cascaded, is per¬formed by means of a special procedure which is called "process analysis". Furthermore, a stability criterion, based on the statistical description of recursive filters is given. In the practical part of this paper the realizations of the theoretical one are applied to clutter correlation functions that have been computed out of measurements made by means of the RADICORD. Some new practical results are given, for example two very simple suboptimal correlating and decorrelating tilters respectively.
