摘要

Simplified curve fits for the thermodynamic properties of equilibrium air have been devised for use la either the "time-dependent" or "shock-capturing" computational methods. The accuracies of these curve fits are substantially improved over the accuracies of previous curve fits appearing in KASA CR-2134.nThe ranges of validity for these curve fits are the same as the NASA-ARC RGAS program, namely, temperatures up to 25,000 °K and densities from 10-7 to 103 smagats. These approximate curve fits may be particularly useful When employed on advanced computers such as the Bur rough's ILLIAC IV or the CEC STAR since they avoid the cumbersome table-lookup feature of the RGAS program.
