The purpose of this study is to evaluate the numerous concepts and configura¬tions which exist in the water and waste management area of life support. The concepts are evaluated from an equivalent weight and cost standpoint for the mission applications of Space Station, Lunar Surface Base and Interplanetary.nThe results of the study can be divided into two categories,:(l) results which identify the configuration characteristics having the biggest influence on equivalent weight and cost and (2) specific results on evaluations of candidate configurations. A summary of these results follows.
