The model was a 0.0091 scale representation of the agive nose section of the External tank with nose cap and lighting red and protuberances. The designation MSFC model 470 has assigned to the model and its support hardware. The NASA test series number is TA3F. The primary purpose of the test was to determine the pressure distribution around the nose cap. Pressure data were also obtained along the agive nose.
