CRACK RESISTANCE OF SOME STRUCTURAL ADHESIVES DETERMINED ONACHESIVE BONDED TDCB-SPEIMENS

This report presents results of fracture toughness tests on some structural adhesives. The adhesives have been tested in mode I (tensile) and mode II (forward shear), the adhesive layer being part of a tapered double cantilever-beam specimen (TDCB-specimen) as used by Ripling et al (REF.1). The scope of the investigation is outlined in more detail in section 2.
