Solution of the incompressible driven cavity problem using the Crocco method

The Crocco method was used to solve the steady Navier-Stokes equations for two-dimensional flow in a square driven cavity for a Reynolds number of 100. Results for velocity and pressure are found to be inaccurate, although the overall recirculation and vortex center are correctly predicted. Tables (data) of velocity profiles and pressure distributions are given.
