摘要

A method for the simultaneous determination of H2 O2 and N2 in metals by the D.C. arc gas chromatographic technique has been developed employing a β-ray ionization detector which makes use of the indigenously available argon as a carrier gas.nThe detection limits for H2, O2 and N2 are 2Y, 10Y and 10Y respectively. Using a sample volume of 3 ml, the standard curves were linear in the concentration range 0 - 25Y (H2), 0 - 80Y (Ng) and 0 - 150Y (CO). The standard deviation varies from 12 per cent near the low concentration end to 5 per cent at the higher concentration end of the linear range.
