摘要

The desorption heat capacity of successive monolayers of 4He adsorbed on solid neon was measured and a rigid band model for the adsorption was used in the analysis. The desorption energy for the first layer varies from -66 K to -29 K as a function of coverage. The desorption process is described using Fermi-Dirac statistics although the adatoms are bosons.
