Ultrasonic Technique for Detection of Liquids in Copper Tubing Process Lines

An ultrasonic pulse-echo method was developed for semiquantitative measurement of liquid levels in copper tubing. This ultrasonic approach is of particular value when used as a pre-maintenance diagnostic tool in repairing process lines containing hazardous liquids.
