Altarelli-Paisi Equations as Renormalization Group Equations for the Coefficients of the Nonlocal Light-Cone Expansions

In the framework of renormalization perturbation theory the relations between local and nonlocal light-cone expansions are investigated. All calculations are done in scalar field theory. Both expansions are discussed in the case of forward scattering. It is pointed out that the Altarelli-Parisi equations are renormalization group equations for the coefficients of nonlocal light-cone expansion.
