摘要

The transfer characteristics of the 50 to 70 GHz band are studied on the basis of the available experimental data and of the existing theories which relate the spectroscopie properties of the atmosphere to their molecular origin, in such a way that those properties may be linked to meteorological parameters. The statistical variations of these parameters and of the transfer, shielding and emission properties of the oxygen molecules at the frequencies of interest are examined in detail and the other relevant clear air effects (bending and scintillations) are discussed. Detailed numerical and graphical results are included.
