Smith Predictions in Multivariable Control: Some Case Studies

摘要

The general theory describing the robustness of the Smith scheme is summarized and the choice of an approximate model of the components, time delays and controller such that the stability of the scheme can be guaranteed is illustrated. The necessity and necessary condition of including integral action in the controller is analyzed. The robustness of the design is also discussed. It is shown that the technique of design is successful and that compared with the normal feedback control scheme it presents many advantages.
