摘要

Simultaneous measurements conducted on fin-stabilized projectiles in supersonic flight by recording the longitudinal velocity (V) with a Doppler radar and the roll velocity (p) by a radioelectric telemetering device are used to determine the variation of the roll damping moment coefficient as a function of the reduced roll velocity p/V. The variation of p/V as a function of the distance travelled is also determined. Launching the projectiles with a glide band at different initial velocities from gun barrels with different angles of twist increases the range of the reduced roll velocities in the ratio of 1 to 4. The roll damping moment coefficient varies strongly in the ratio of 1 to 8.5. In the Mach number range from 1.5 to 3.3, the action of the Mach number on the coefficient is shown. The proportionality of the roll damping moment coefficient to the reduced roll velocity is verified over the range 12 to 44 rps.
