Convexity Theorem for Semisimple Symmetric Spaces

Konstant's theorem on the factor group G/H of a connected real semisimple symmetric Lie group G with finite center by an invariant subgroup H of an involution of G, is proved. Konstant's convexity theorem for semisimple symmetric spaces is generalized. Iwasawa's projection on this group is studied.
