摘要

The behavior of straight and serrated severely-stepped carbon fiber strip specimens under fatigue loading conditions was investigated in practical tests and by using finite element models to obtain theoretical stresses. The results suggest that a serrated step edge increases the fatigue life of a carbon fiber plate due to the crack-stopping effect of the serrations.
